![]() What Transformation Did The Client Desire? The client was looking to get rid of the line of balayage/ombré in her hair that had grown out. She wanted a similar style, but one that would last until she came home from college. What Challenges Was The Client Experiencing? The goal was to soften the grow-out line. The client wanted her hair to be lighter, especially around her face, but did not want a noticeable line of growth. What Was The Salon’s Solution? Lora created a mixture of soft lines of balayage and blended with a true ombré. She backcombed the client’s hair and then weaved the color so there would be no noticeable growth pattern. She made pieces lighter around the client’s face and beneath her part. This look will provide the client with a natural, no-fuss style that will last throughout the semester. For the daytime event, Sarah desired makeup that was natural and light, yet also covered up imperfections. For the evening party, she wanted a long-lasting look that was bold, yet sophisticated. What Was The Salon’s Solution? For her daytime look, Sandra started with a clean face and and played with natural nude colors. She used a water-based foundation to create natural-looking, bright, healthy skin as well as light contouring to highlight Sarah’s cheekbones. For her evening look, Sandra made Sarah’s eyes the focal point. By adding double sets of lashes, she opened up and brightened Sarah’s eyes. What Challenges Was The Client Experiencing? It’s been a year since Bailey had her hair cut or had the balayage color treatment. She wanted her split ends removed and a blonder color, too. However, being a young college student, she needs a style that doesn’t require much upkeep and effort since she will not be able to return to The Salon until the summer. What Was The Salon’s Solution? Lora applied balayage to Bailey’s hair. Balayage means “to sweep” or “to paint” in French. The benefit of bayalage is it does not require frequent retouching because it creates a natural, sun-kissed hair color. This look will take Bailey well into the late spring yet still appear fresh. Balayage offers a practical, yet stylish look that is ideal for busy college students and women on the go. Want to see more Before & After photos?
