Meet Your Stylists
Owner and Master Stylist
It is nice to meet you! My name is Lora Brown. I was born and raised in Amarillo. I have had the pleasure to do what I love for 35 years. I started my career at the early age of 17, and I have over 30 years of advanced education and training under the best stylist/salon owners in the world. I opened my first salon, “Lora Brown Salon” in 1996, and my second salon, “The Salon by Lora Brown” in February of 2008. The Salon by Lora Brown was recognized as a “Salon of Distinction” in Salon Today Magazine in 2009. I have been an educator and platform artist for Paul Mitchell in Texas. I am a member of the N.C.A. and P.B.A. In 2020, our Salon was awarded for Top Business Excellence by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. Being a stylist allows me to spend 1 on 1 time with my clients, connecting and getting to know them by building a life long relationship.
I enjoy being creative. I love fashion, interior design, and art. I can hardly draw a stick figure or read my own penmanship, but I am an artist with my shears and a color brush. I can drive myself crazy by being a perfectionist at times, but the highlight of my day is making you happy!
On the weekends, you can find me spending time with my friends. I enjoy good conversations, great food, and good wine! I love to travel and spend time with my husband, my daughter, and our three Brittany Spaniels. I invest time in my workouts, staying mentally and physically healthy. I read business books to continue my education and better my coaching skills. Helping others grow and celebrating their accomplishments has always, and still continues to make my heart happy! I am a lifelong learner in all that I do. I am driven and passionate about my clients and my industry. I look forward to learning about you and having the opportunity to work with you and your hair. See you soon!
I'm Sarah. I am from this little-big city of Amarillo. My love for the beauty industry started early, as a little girl I loved playing dress-up and styling all the Barbies in my possession (even the antique ones that belonged to my mom and aunts). When I discovered scissors nothing was safe anymore. My mother tells me that when I was 4 years old I decided to give the curtains in the living room a trim. When I became an adult I knew exactly where I needed to be. Here I am 15 years in and I still love being a stylist. The relationships with my clients that I have built over the years are much more rewarding than my Barbies ever were. I enjoy creative collaborating with my clients to keep them on the latest trends. I am a mother of a energetic, theatrical little boy. Which makes me enjoy the simpler things in life and stay committed to my goals. I look forward to collaborating with you!
My name is Marie Fleur. I was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Taos, NM. I moved to the charming, big, little city of Amarillo in August, 2022, and I absolutely love it! I have been a hairdresser for over 22 years. I had the privilege of advanced training at Jacques Dessange International Training Center in Paris, France and with Toni and Guy in NYC. I see myself as a student of life. I love to learn and grow whether I’m focusing on hair techniques and concepts, or trying my hand at something new that interests me. I co-owned and operated a salon with my best friend for six years, until I opened my own boutique salon from 2013-2020. I spent the last two years as a freelance hairstylist, enjoying the flexibility and freedom to travel between New Mexico and Texas… until I heard about the Salon by Lora Brown! I am so honored and excited to be a member of this team of talented hairstylists in the best salon, in the best town of the great state of Texas. I love creating beautiful, natural styles that flatter your face and work with your lifestyle, a harmony of classic and enduring looks blended with a fresh, edgy flare.
When not in the salon, I enjoy being physically active, spending quality time with my adult children (who continually amaze me), or hanging out with family and friends enjoying good food and good wine. I’m an avid reader, love to garden, listen to live music, work on my little house, paint, practice on my fiddle, and play with my four legged best friend, Cletus Johnny Wubs.
I look forward to building deep and lasting connections with all who sit in my styling chair, and becoming a part of the fabric of this community. I am excited to meet you!
Stylist Level 1
Hi everyone! My name is Gustavo, but you can call me Gus. I grew up in Dumas, a small town down the road - GO Demons!! I moved to Amarillo 8 years ago and haven't had a dull moment since. After working in the oilfields, welding and being a machine operator for most of my life, I decided to try something different. Something with more creativity and artistic freedom. So to the shock and surprise to all of my friends and family, in 2019, I attended the Milan Institute of Cosmetology. I initially wanted to become a barber. But, after working in a couple of shops around town, I realized that it felt too much like those mechanical jobs I've worked my entire life. I decided to try my hand at women's hair and fell in love with it. Working on women's hair is such a better fit for me. It's a more creative and artistic experience. I enjoy spending my off time with my wife and two big dogs. Exercising and coffee are my life sources. I can eat anything as long as it's cookies. Specifically - Chocolate chip. My goal is to get my hands on as much hair as I possibly can and then one day use my skills and knowledge to become an educator. It would be an honor and a pleasure to become your hairdresser, so come see me!
Hello Beauties! My name is Allysa. I was raised in Friona, which is only an hour away, so I still like to go back home to visit my family whenever I can! I moved to Amarillo about 5 years ago and have loved it ever since. I have one daughter who is a very busy sophomore right now and also 2 fur babies, which have made our lives more...messy! But, in the best way possible! I'm a recent graduate form Milan. Beauty school was never a thought when I was younger, but that didn't stop me from all things beauty! As I got older I realized I have a passion for making others feel great about themselves. On my time away from work I try to get in as much family time as possible. Whether its mini get-aways with my husband, or a girls day out with my daughter, I try to make the most of our rime together. We love having game nights, movie nights, or cook outs for the whole family. I am so excited to start this new journey and I'm even more excited to meet all of you!
