Meet Your Stylists

Lora Brown
Owner and Master Stylist
It is nice to meet you! My name is Lora Brown. I was born and raised in Amarillo. I have had the pleasure to do what I love for 35 years. I started my career at the early age of 17, and I have over 30 years of advanced education and training under the best stylist/salon owners in the world. I opened my first salon, “Lora Brown Salon” in 1996, and my second salon, “The Salon by Lora Brown” in February of 2008. The Salon by Lora Brown was recognized as a “Salon of Distinction” in Salon Today Magazine in 2009. I have been an educator and platform artist for Paul Mitchell in Texas. I am a member of the N.C.A. and P.B.A. In 2020, our Salon was awarded for Top Business Excellence by the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce. Being a stylist allows me to spend 1 on 1 time with my clients, connecting and getting to know them by building a life long relationship.
I enjoy being creative. I love fashion, interior design, and art. I can hardly draw a stick figure or read my own penmanship, but I am an artist with my shears and a color brush. I can drive myself crazy by being a perfectionist at times, but the highlight of my day is making you happy!
On the weekends, you can find me spending time with my friends. I enjoy good conversations, great food, and good wine! I love to travel and spend time with my husband, my daughter, and our three Brittany Spaniels. I invest time in my workouts, staying mentally and physically healthy. I read business books to continue my education and better my coaching skills. Helping others grow and celebrating their accomplishments has always, and still continues to make my heart happy! I am a lifelong learner in all that I do. I am driven and passionate about my clients and my industry. I look forward to learning about you and having the opportunity to work with you and your hair. See you soon!

Sarah Lyons
Advanced Stylist
I'm Sarah. I am from this little-big city of Amarillo. My love for the beauty industry started early, as a little girl I loved playing dress-up and styling all the Barbies in my possession (even the antique ones that belonged to my mom and aunts). When I discovered scissors nothing was safe anymore. My mother tells me that when I was 4 years old I decided to give the curtains in the living room a trim. When I became an adult I knew exactly where I needed to be. Here I am 15 years in and I still love being a stylist. The relationships with my clients that I have built over the years are much more rewarding than my Barbies ever were. I enjoy creative collaborating with my clients to keep them on the latest trends. I am a mother of a energetic, theatrical little boy. Which makes me enjoy the simpler things in life and stay committed to my goals. I look forward to collaborating with you!

Gustavo Robles
Stylist Level 1
Hi everyone! My name is Gustavo, but you can call me Gus. I grew up in Dumas, a small town down the road - GO Demons!! I moved to Amarillo 8 years ago and haven't had a dull moment since. After working in the oilfields, welding and being a machine operator for most of my life, I decided to try something different. Something with more creativity and artistic freedom. So to the shock and surprise to all of my friends and family, in 2019, I attended the Milan Institute of Cosmetology. I initially wanted to become a barber. But, after working in a couple of shops around town, I realized that it felt too much like those mechanical jobs I've worked my entire life. I decided to try my hand at women's hair and fell in love with it. Working on women's hair is such a better fit for me. It's a more creative and artistic experience. I enjoy spending my off time with my wife and two big dogs. Exercising and coffee are my life sources. I can eat anything as long as it's cookies. Specifically - Chocolate chip. My goal is to get my hands on as much hair as I possibly can and then one day use my skills and knowledge to become an educator. It would be an honor and a pleasure to become your hairdresser, so come see me!

Allysa Hernandez
Stylist Level 1
Hello Beauties! My name is Allysa. I was raised in Friona, which is only an hour away, so I still like to go back home to visit my family whenever I can! I moved to Amarillo about 5 years ago and have loved it ever since. I have one daughter who is a very busy sophomore right now and also 2 fur babies, which have made our lives more...messy! But, in the best way possible! I'm a recent graduate form Milan. Beauty school was never a thought when I was younger, but that didn't stop me from all things beauty! As I got older I realized I have a passion for making others feel great about themselves. On my time away from work I try to get in as much family time as possible. Whether its mini get-aways with my husband, or a girls day out with my daughter, I try to make the most of our rime together. We love having game nights, movie nights, or cook outs for the whole family. I am so excited to start this new journey and I'm even more excited to meet all of you!
