Have you gone gray and are unhappy about it? Or maybe, you have decided to embrace the natural you, but need a little help getting there. So, what's next?
Several of my male and female clients have asked me why so many women are making the decision to gray. It seems that after Covid, many women have decided to go natural. They no longer want to continue the upkeep with salon visits and expense. Gray hair tends to age your appearance and no one wants to look older than really are! But, there are quite a few options to continue to look youthful with less maintenance and upkeep. Some of my clients who have taken the leap of going all natural, say that they are also missing the body and shine that hair color gives. Here are my recommendations to get the look you want and still get all that shine and body!
You can color with a glosser like Sebastian Cellophanes (Blog: It's Time for Shine) This doesn't use a developer and adds high shine, body and there is no visible line of regrowth. Glosser's last 4-6 weeks depending on how often you shampoo (Blog:Why Do I Need to Shampoo with Cold Water?)
Highlight with lightener (bleach) only. if you have more white than gray, this is a great option. This will also add body and shine, and last for 3 months.
Lowlights: If you have too much white and you want more depth, this technique will add body, help it appear thicker and will last 3 months.
Highlights and Lowlights: with more colors, you will get more dimension, a softer grow out, body, shine and will last 3 months.
If this is making you realize you have more options, follow me over the next few weeks, as I will explain each option, and see which one would suit you best.
